Well, you may or may not have noticed but my website disappeared for a short while. I was attempting to import it elsewhere as I prepared to launch a new look/ business focus when I clicked the wrong thing and deleted it! Imagine the saddness of years of blogging and business bumblings lost in the abyss that is the internet (or wherever it goes). Luckily my savy tech guy husband and the Typepad team (thank you!) were able to help me recover my mistake and years of bloggin'. (Whew!)
I am excited to announce, however, that very soon JARFLY will have a new, clean, and simple look as well as a streamlined focus...
I am also excited to announce that I've officially launched my new photography website, JARFLY Photographs, and am booking work now. I've been building my experience and portfolio for a couple years now and feel grateful for the chance to really go for it. You may have noticed that my rental business was retired and while I'm sad to see it go, I'm excited to move forward.
I've never really agreed with the phrase, "Jack of all trades, master of none". I think we can be masters at whatever we are willing to work hard at, even if it's many things (maybe to the ruin of ourselves). The fact is that my vast dreams want to be good at every beautiful thing I see in the world. I think that's part of who I am. I have come to learn, however, that it's okay to freshen up a little and clear out junk that wasn't going anywhere (figuratively and literally) for the sake of avoiding my own ruin, as I am hard on myself and often give way to fear and perfectionism. There's also something to be said about picking something and really focusing on it, which I'm taking more seriously.
This is my best attempt and reclaiming goals that became muffled and embracing a more simple newness. We'll see how it goes. Wish me luck.
I'll be starting a new blog as a companion to my photography & paper business in a week or so. It will focus on recipes, photography, projects and writing samples. I hope people enjoy it but my main goal is to simplify my look and have a space for personal inspiration and ideas. Shortly there after, my paper boutique will re-open on Etsy, which has been far too long dormat.
If you've been reading JARFLY for a little while and want to follow me to my new location a link will forward from this address so you can easily find me.
This is my last post in this old home and it's been quite the journey. I didn't expect to be emotional about a freakin' blog site, but I have to say it feels a little bit like moving out of a well loved home. On ward and upward. See you on the flipside! Se la vie. Every other "goodbye" cliche' there is.
I hope you'll join me in my new home...www.jarflyblog.com. Coming soon!
